People (both muslims and christians) are getting ready for a happy new year and Christmas!


Although we (Persians) have our own solar year delivery (Norouz) on march 21st every year, most people also celebrate Christmas though

People often forget that Islam is an Abrahamic religion just like Christianity and Judaism. Looking at it from a anthropological standpoint, not a faith based one of course, they all share a very common ancestry of peoples. The split only came when Christian missionaries moved into Europe and took on a lot of the anglo-saxon culture that makes the Church the 'mainstream' culture that we see today.

PS- That seemed strange at first, but we all know that Christmas is a cultural institution here in the US. I know plenty of Jews and Gnostics who celebrate christmas as a time of general togetherness and giving. Hell, it is a fun holiday for everyone.
